On October 18th, 2021, we celebrated a year of staying true to our mission, of creating a community of Latinas in Wine, of elevating our voices in an industry that needed to hear us. Thank you to all the ladies that joined us to celebrate and to those that continue to support us as we grow this global collective of Latinas in wine. Together with my friend and partner Martha @winedivaa , we continue to overflow with gratitude to our members and socios. We have amazing plans for the coming year and can’t do it without you!
Our celebration couldn’t have been more perfect with Taittinger Champagne, described by Vitalie Taittinger—granddaughter of the founder of one of the most historic Champagne houses--as a “glass of pure joy!” And on this joyous occasion we tasted with our friends:
Brut Réserve: 40 % Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier; using perfectly matured grapes harvested from over 35 different vineyards. This subtle blend results in a light, elegant and balanced champagne.
Prestige Rosé: 15% Pinot Noir, 85% Chardonnay; vibrant, sophisticated, and revealing a delicate balance between freshness, structure, and the ever-present red fruit. A superbly blended rosé, it’s delightfully unique, intense, and shimmery.
Nocturne: 40% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier; a “sec” champagne perfect to enjoy late in the evening, it’s delicate aromas of yellow peaches and dried apricots lead to a creamy, smooth, and yet crisp finish.
Chateau de la Marquetterie: 45% Chardonnay, Pinot Noir 55% ; the House’s first “ Champagne de Domaine” made exclusively from grapes grown from the birthplace of the @champagnetaittinger A full-flavored and harmonious champagne, it’s distinguished by its immense richness and complexity—a true “terroir” wine.
Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs : 100% Chardonnay ; crafted from grapes from the 5 Grand Cru villages on the Cotes de Blancs, this rare, ageworthy vintage 2011 champagne of great minerality and power is the finest example of the Maison Taittinger style.
