About the event
With the largest amount of acreage under vine, Spain is a powerhouse wine producer vying with France and Italy for the top spots. It has a three thousand year history of winemaking yet we are mainly familiar with Rioja, and to a lesser extent Sherry. In recent years, Spain has built upon that tradition and brought new, exciting wines to the marketplace. Let's learn about Spain's rich history of winemaking and its modern explosion of regions, wines, and techniques through an educational tasting of 7 wines representing the country's diversity. We will also enjoy Spanish cheeses, appetizers and a lovely oratorical surprise!
